Toshiba Strengthens Focus on Retail Stores in Canada

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions Enhances Canadian Operations with In-Store Technology, Maintenance and Services

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--()--Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, a global market share leader in point of sale technology, has taken a further step to strengthen its North American in-store retail business with the integration of Toshiba TEC Canada Inc. (TTCN) and the Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions (Canada) Ltd. (TGCS) business. Effective October 2014, the cross country team combines the former TTCN sales, maintenance and services staff with Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions in Canada. Furthermore, former IBM maintenance employees joined Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions (Canada) Ltd. in September 2014 as part of Toshiba’s overall strategy to provide a unified team to offer expanded services and support, including on-site support and depot service.

In-country leadership for Canada will be provided by Scott Thomas, Sales Executive and General Manager, Canada. To expand solution offerings and accelerate revenue growth across North America, Bill Campbell recently joined Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions and will provide executive sales leadership in his role as Executive Director, North America Sales.

One united team will leverage the combined infrastructure and national footprint, allowing Toshiba to more efficiently serve customers and expand its maintenance business, while leveraging synergies across its broader global operations.
