SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--iTalent, a leading global technology consulting services company, today announced that the company has won a bronze 2014 Stevie Award for “Best New Product or Service of the Year” in the category of Business Products and Services. iTalent is among only three other finalists in this category, and was selected for launching its award-winning Social Knowledge Management practice area. Additionally, iTalent’s CEO and Founder Renee La Londe won a bronze award for “Female Entrepreneur of the Year” in the category of Business Products: 11 to 2,500 employees. La Londe was among eight other finalists competing for this honor.
The company and founder were eligible to win the gold, silver, or bronze award in each nominated category through the Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Both nominations were based on the scores of more than 100 preliminary judges across a diverse range of industries worldwide. The winners of all Stevie Awards for Women in Business were announced at the 11th Annual Awards Dinner and Ceremonies, held on November 14 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York.
“Hundreds of high-profile companies and women entrepreneurs seek to be recognized and honored at the Stevie Awards,” said La Londe. “It’s a tremendous honor for iTalent to be selected among the finalists for pioneering the development of the SKM discipline and consulting practice area. I’m also thrilled to have won the bronze award for Female Entrepreneur of the Year—it’s exciting to be considered alongside such a talented group of women.”
iTalent’s recognition as a top provider of business products and services was based on establishing a practice and coining Social Knowledge Management (SKM) as a new discipline. After recognizing the dramatic demand in the enterprise to capture this once elusive asset, iTalent launched its SKM practice to help companies identify and unlock valuable collaborative knowledge assets that represent enhanced knowledge management. Through SKM implementation, organizations of all sizes can learn to discover new value in social knowledge and intellectual capital created by their employees.
Created in 2002, the Stevie Awards are among the world’s premier business award programs. The awards were designed to honor the achievements of organizations and professionals worldwide. There are six Stevie Awards programs, each with its own focus. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business recognize the achievements of female executives, entrepreneurs, and the organizations they run. These prestigious awards are open to all organizations globally. Previous winners include Apple, Ford Motor Company, Procter & Gamble, and Samsung.
In July, iTalent was a multiple award winner in the Best in Biz International Awards, including the top winner in the product category for “Most Innovative Service of the Year.”
