Prominent Philadelphia Investors Back Keystone NAP Launch

Advanced Data Center Will Serve as a Gateway to the Northeast for Web-Scale Enterprise Customers

FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa.--()--Keystone NAP, the company responsible for launching the first advanced data center in the Northeast, today announced that it has received Series A1 funding from a prominent group of Philadelphia-based investors, led by Ira Lubert along with additional investors arranged by DH Capital. With the backing of its investors, Keystone NAP will open the doors on its Pennsylvania facility in early 2015. Keystone NAP has already formed strategic partnerships with Schneider Electric, Comcast and Sunesys, and has a robust go-to-market strategy targeting enterprise customers with rigorous application performance requirements and high-capacity, web-scale infrastructure needs.

"Positioned in the Mid-Atlantic market, we deliver exceptional power durability and comprehensive network connectivity combined with advanced application performance services and support," said Peter Ritz, Founder and CEO of Keystone NAP. "With the help of our investors, we are uniquely positioned to address exploding data center demand in the region, and to provide the powerful presence in the Northeast that many information-driven companies require. Not only do we have the resources and expertise to serve large-scale enterprises today, but we also have massive expansion capacity that will allow our customers to meet both planned and unforeseen demands in the future."

As part of an elite class of data centers in the US, Keystone NAP provides unmatched power availability from four independent power generation plants, and comprehensive connectivity through diverse, carrier-neutral and redundant fiber routes connecting to major peering points across the country. Private modular vaults called KeyBlocks deliver maximum security for customers within the facility. KeyBlocks also offer custom configuration options for power, cooling, and redundancy. For additional security, the Keystone NAP site is protected through gated access to the campus, key-card access to the building, video camera surveillance, and armed security staff.

Keystone NAP not only differentiates itself on its physical infrastructure, but also through the advanced services the company provides. In addition to standard facility management, multi-tenant data center services, and work space recovery solutions, Keystone NAP also offers network management, data center migration, and application optimization services.

"Keystone NAP is poised to take advantage of the growing demands of a data-driven economy. In many industries including healthcare, financial services and higher education, companies are relying more heavily on enterprise applications and cloud-based services. Keystone NAP can deliver the guaranteed performance these companies need, while ensuring that customers have room to expand as business grows," said Adam Lewis, Managing Director at DH Capital.

Founded by a veteran team of IT executives, Keystone NAP's executive leadership includes CEO Peter Ritz, President John Parker, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Shawn Carey and Senior Vice President of Product Phil Lanctot. Commissioning of the Keystone NAP advanced data center is scheduled to be completed in Q1 2015.
