SEOUL, South Korea--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A must-have mobile application when travelling to Korea, ‘Visit Korea’, was upgraded and version 4.0 has been launched.
Officials from the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) announced that the app has incorporated more features to meet the needs of mobility while traveling, which will help bring users closer to knowing Korea’s charm.
Equipped with more content and improved interfaces, the app will serve as a smart tour guide while on the go, featuring new functions such as discount coupons, routing services and more, in addition to plenty of travel information found on the previous versions. Ever since its inception in 2011, the app has been continuously improved to provide more information and useful tips for travelers. The 4.0 app now provides a diverse range of information rounding out at around 7,000 tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping locations, on top of articles that can also be found on the KTO’s official website www.visitkorea.or.kr.
Among the many new highlights, the mobile coupons for shopping, dining and performances are expected to draw much attention as it removes the need to print paper copies while still offering the same benefits simply by showing the coupons on mobile phone or electronic device screens. The app will also aid in planning trips for individual travelers by displaying the latest Travel Highlights and news articles updated daily.
Furthermore, a ‘Travel Planner’ function was newly introduced, adding another user-friendly function enabling customized itinerary planning. Recommended itineraries as well as popular itineraries made by other travelers give users a space for idea sharing.
With Visit Korea App 4.0, travelling around Korea becomes easier and more convenient. The application is available for download in both Apple iTunes and Android Google Play.
