NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Norton Rose Fulbright today announced that David Navetta and Boris Segalis, nationally-recognized leaders in cybersecurity, privacy and data protection law, have joined as partners.
Both partners come to Norton Rose Fulbright from InfoLawGroup LLP, where Navetta was a founding partner of the law firm and Segalis led its New York office. Together they helped the firm become ranked by Chambers USA as one of the nation’s leading law firms for Privacy & Data Security in 2013 and 2014. Both Segalis and Navetta are certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Segalis will join Norton Rose Fulbright’s New York office, while Navetta will practice out of its Denver office.
Navetta has significant experience handling issues in technology, privacy, information security, e-commerce and intellectual property law. His work ranges from compliance and transactional matters to breach notification, regulatory response and litigation. Navetta, who currently serves as “breach coach” or is on the approved panel for numerous cyber insurance carriers and companies, has helped dozens of companies across multiple industries respond to data security breaches.
Segalis advises clients from Fortune 10 companies to startups on emerging technology, information management, cybersecurity, privacy and information security. His practice ranges from strategy counseling to representing companies in state and federal privacy and data security related investigations. Segalis represents companies in a broad range of industries, including technology, pharma, consumer products, utilities and payment processing.

Navetta and Segalis will co-chair the US group of Norton Rose Fulbright’s global data protection and privacy practice. The group will address cybersecurity strategy and compliance, consumer and employee privacy and data protection, big data, data and infrastructure breach preparedness and response, regulatory investigations and litigation.
