GfK User Experience Experts to Present on Healthcare Packaging Design, Usable Interactions

Human Factors and Ergonomics Society meeting will also feature tour of GfK’s UX lab

NEW YORK--()--GfK’s User Experience (UX) team will play a major role in this year’s Annual Meeting of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES). Five GfK experts in UX will present in two key sessions, and GfK will offer a tour of its Chicago UX laboratory.

The meeting is taking place this week (October 27th to 31st) at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. (Learn more at this link.)

At 10:30AM on Wednesday, October 29th, three GfK UX team members – Anke Schreiber (Senior UX Lead Specialist), Amanda Weller (UX Specialist), and Yilin Zhou (UX Specialist) – will join AbbVie representatives for a presentation on “Usability Testing of Medication Packaging in a Pharmacy Environment.” Their paper is part of a larger session on the theme “Design of Health-care Products and Systems.”

The tour of GfK’s UX lab will take place at 9:45AM on Thursday (October 30th). GfK experts will guide attendees through several user research environments – a living room during a media consumption study, an in-store display to evaluate retail packaging, and a multi-patient hospital floor.

At 1:30PM on Thursday, GfK Richard Omanson (Vice President, User Experience) will chair a session on “Usable Interactions.” Omanson and Sonetta Joseph (UX Specialist, GfK) will also present the fourth paper in that session, “Effects of Item Grouping on Selection Efficiency.”

GfK’s User Experience team focuses on UX from the beginning of product development, outlining a UX strategy that is the foundation of a user-centered design process. GfK understands users and involves them in the design, reducing the risk of failed products and services and costly post-launch changes.
