Digital Lumens and Philips Advance Xitanium SR Drivers Enable Intelligent Lighting Everywhere

Open Architecture, Standards-Based Controls and LED Drivers Expand Lighting Ecosystem

BOSTON--()--Digital Lumens, the leader in intelligent LED lighting and energy management systems, today announced that its Digital Light Agent family of products integrates directly with the recently announced Philips Advance Xitanium SR family of drivers to make any LED fixture part of a LightRules-managed intelligent lighting system.

The companies previewed the integration at Lightfair 2014 in June of this year, showing Xitanium SR-based fixtures controlled by Digital Lumens Digital Light Agents (DLAs) and LightRules software. Digital Light Agents, wirelessly networked sensing modules, are available now.

LightRules, Digital Lumens’ energy and intelligence software platform, forms the backbone of the Digital Lumens Intelligent Lighting System. Wireless networks of sensor-driven intelligent fixtures – either Digital Lumens’ own or third party fixtures with DLAs -- deliver unparalleled energy efficiency, visibility and control in the built environment.

“This next-generation driver shows rapid industry movement toward an open architecture for digital control, which will accelerate the proliferation of intelligent lighting across a broad spectrum of applications,” said Brian Chemel, CTO and Co-founder of Digital Lumens. “The lighting industry is becoming a cooperative, standards-driven ecosystem that promises to unlock a new wave of LED adoption. We are delighted to be working with Philips to move the initiative forward.”

Built on top of open digital protocols, Xitanium SR drivers allow any fixture manufacturer to easily upgrade new and existing products to take advantage of the industry-wide transition to connected lighting.
