musicBleeper Debuts First iOS App That Allows Users Extensive Control Over Profanity and Objectionable Lyrics in Music

Proprietary technology provides users ability to filter lyrics to personal taste

TUSTIN, Calif.--()--Bleeper LLC today debuts musicBleeper, a free, one-of-a-kind app that allows users to control which words they feel are unsafe or inappropriate on their iOS device playlists. The app is especially great for parents who want to listen to music with their children, have control over what their children are listening to, or those who would prefer their music without profanity or objectionable phrases.

“With its proprietary technology, musicBleeper filters out words that users find objectionable,” said Vikas Vanjani, CEO of Bleeper LLC. “No other app can be custom tailored to an individual’s personal taste. Users can choose from among 91 words in PG-13, R and Religious categories to customize the words they want to skip or silence based on their children’s ages, religious affiliations, or family values.”

How musicBleeper Works:

  • Once the app is downloaded to an iOS device and parameters are set, the app immediately starts scanning and scrubbing the songs.
  • If a song title is shown in bold, it has already been scanned and scrubbed for offensive words. If the song title shows in grey scale, the song will be available soon.
  • Users can select either “skip” or “silence” to remove the words from songs on the device.
  • The ability to manage the app is password protected, so parents can identify the words they want eliminated, without children having access to change them.
  • The app can be turned on and off, so parents can turn the app off when children are not around.
