ROSTELECOM’S VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM BRINGS ADDITIONAL INCOME OF RUB 100 MILLION DURING ELECTION DAY

Moscow, Russia – September 18, 2014 – Rostelecom OJSC (MOEX: RTKM, RTKMP; OTCQX: ROSYY), Russia’s national telecommunications operator, today announces that its video surveillance system was used at the regional parliamentary elections in several regions, providing the Company with RUB 100 million of additional income.

On September 14, over 3,700 people monitored the election at www.webvyboryedg.ru, who viewed 655,000 records. The most active regions monitoring the elections were the Far Eastern and Siberian Federal Districts, Moscow and the Moscow region.

The successful completion of this project highlights the Company's leadership in providing video surveillance services for important public events across Russia. The Presidential Elections in 2012 and the Unified State Exam in 2014 are among the best examples of video surveillance projects implemented by Rostelecom. The Company plans to use its unique infrastructure and experience to continue providing video surveillance services in order to strengthen its competitive position in the B2B and B2G segments and to grow its top-line.
