What: NetCracker Technology will showcase how communications service providers (CSPs) can incorporate network functions virtualization (NFV) into existing data center and network infrastructure at this year’s NFV and the Data Center event. Details: During the NFV and the Data Center event, Samir Sharma, Solutions Architect at NetCracker Technology, will participate in the “NFV Data Center Software and Hardware Requirements” panel from 10:45-11:45 a.m. PDT. This session will focus on the additional hardware and software requirements that come to light as CSPs aim to deliver telecom services via software-based virtualized network functions (VNFs) on existing X86 servers.
As part of the conversation, Mr. Sharma will highlight the need for orchestration as virtualized technologies take hold and become more prominent players in the telecom environment. NetCracker is supporting the ongoing use of virtualized and traditional services, as well as fully hosted cloud solutions, by providing sophisticated service orchestration offerings, which enable CSPs to utilize and manage various services effectively while simultaneously centralizing and automating service fulfillment and assurance.
Mr. Sharma will also discuss the continuing open source movement and how NetCracker and its parent company, NEC, are leveraging open source technologies in their solutions to benefit CSPs.
