NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At this year’s The Money Event, GfK will highlight its latest insights into use and users of prepaid cards. Tim Spenny GfK’s Vice President of Financial Services (North America), will present and discuss highlights from a recent GfK study of branded prepaid cards as part in a panel discussion on the topic.
The panel discussion, “Prepaid Cards: Drivers and Inhibitors of Growth,” will be held September 9th at 12 noon as part of the conference’s “Payment Power” track. In addition to Spenny, thought leaders from BlackHawk Networks, Margeta, and NetSpend are also taking part.
The Money Event is taking place September 9th to 11th as part of CTIA Super Mobility Week in Las Vegas.
The GfK study found that 60% of US consumers have used a branded prepaid payment card, and 57% have used two or more. “Ease of use” is by far the most valued benefit of prepaid cards, cited by 69% of users; and satisfaction with the cards is at roughly 70% across all income groups measured.
