CCAGW PAC Endorses Rep. Steve Daines for U.S. Senate

WASHINGTON--()--Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) announced its endorsement of Rep. Steve Daines (R-Montana) for U.S. Senate. Rep. Daines received the highest score among the Montana congressional delegation in CCAGW’s 2013 Congressional Ratings. With a lifetime score of 84 percent, Rep. Daines earned the title of “Taxpayer Hero.” CCAGW PAC bases its endorsements on a candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2013 Congressional Ratings. Each candidate endorsed is a “Taxpayer Hero” with a lifetime rating of 80 percent or greater.

“During his tenure in the House, Rep. Daines has served the citizens of Montana with great distinction and evinced an abiding commitment to fiscal conservatism,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “When it comes to promoting small government, Rep. Daines has shown steadfast leadership and cost-cutting enthusiasm as he has proved time and time again to be a tireless warrior for the interests of both his constituents and all U.S. taxpayers.”

On top of his impressive voting record on behalf of taxpayers, Rep. Daines has worked with his colleagues to help limit the role of government and provide tax relief to stimulate economic growth and empower Americans to keep more of their hard-earned money.

“Rep. Daines’ work in the House has both slowed the growth of federal spending and benefited hard-working American families, which is one of the many reasons that I urge all Montanans to vote for him on November 4 so he can return to Washington, D.C. as a U.S. Senator and continue to protect the interest of his constituents and all Americans,” concluded Schatz.

CCAGW PAC is affiliated with the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, a 501(c)(4) organization. CCAGW PAC’s mission is to support political candidates who will fight to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in government and represent the best interests of taxpayers.
