CaRE EB-5 REGIONAL CENTER KICKS OFF STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIP WITH NMS CAPITAL ON USC MEDICAL CAMPUS HOTEL PROJECT

California Real Estate Regional Center (“CaRE”), a Los Angeles based EB-5 Regional Center providing developers with debt and equity capital, today announced the launch of its strategic relationship with NMS Capital Group, a Beverly Hills based multi-discipline financial services firm, following the engagement of NMS Capital Advisors, LLC (“NMS Advisors”), an SEC and FINRA registered broker dealer, to serve as the exclusive Financial Advisor on CaRE’s latest EB-5 financing transaction, a branded extended-stay hotel being developed by a prominent Southern California Developer (“Developer”) for the University of Southern California (USC) Health Sciences Campus (the “Project”).

A Developer is developing a $75 million extended-stay hotel located on the USC Medical Center Campus in Los Angeles. The four-story hotel will feature 200 guest rooms, over 13,000 square feet of retail space, and a conference facility to serve the USC Medical Campus. A Developer has entered into an agreement with a CaRE related entity to provide $24 million in EB-5 financing towards the Project. NMS Advisors has been engaged as the exclusive financial advisor for the project to provide financial advisory and investment banking services related to the EB-5 capital raise and transaction.

Trevor M. Saliba, Group Chairman and Senior Managing Director stated, “We are excited to be working on our first project with the CaRE team as their broker dealer and investment banking firm. This project represents another example of a world-class project meeting the standards on regulatory compliance for EB-5 financed transactions and further demonstrates the overall mutually beneficial synergies of regional centers working with registered broker dealers to manage the capital raise and marketing campaigns with international foreign agents. We applaud Steve Shpilsky, Michael Palmer, and the entire CaRE team for being true pioneers in the EB-5 space for their ability to attract a deal team comprised of best-in-class professional services firms and a commitment to adhering to the strict securities regulatory guidelines that dictate EB-5 securities offerings.”

“NMS has established itself as a leading international boutique investment banking, asset management and management consulting firm with the ability to attract both EB-5 and institutional capital for EB-5 sponsored projects,” said Michael Palmer, CaRE Managing Principal.

“EB-5 capital should be considered by all major developers looking to efficiently fill out their capital stacks. As a current Managing Principal of CaRE and a recent new member of the NMS team, I see immense value in integrating traditional investment banking services with EB-5 capital markets. CaRE and NMS share a vision to streamline the EB-5 capital raise process and mitigate the historic timing risks of EB-5 funding,” said Steve Shpilsky, CaRE Managing Principal & NMS Capital Group Managing Director for EB-5 Real Estate and Consulting clients.

EB-5 is a government sponsored program that was introduced with the Immigration Act of 1990. The program permits foreign nationals and their immediate family to earn their permanent alien visa (green card) by investing either $500,000, if in a targeted employment area (TEA), or $1,000,000 in a qualifying business enterprise that will create or preserve at least 10 new U.S. jobs per foreign capital investment. Investments are usually structured in conjunction with a licensed regional center that is approved by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. The application process is complex and all foreign investors should consult with an attorney for legal advice. In regard to the investment process, it is important to ensure that the investments are properly structured and in compliance with applicable U.S. and foreign securities laws.
