CompuCom Named an Industry Challenger for Data Center Outsourcing and Infrastructure Utility Services, North America

Key Trends Shaping How Customers and Service Providers Deliver Data Center Managed Services

DALLAS--()--CompuCom, a leading technology infrastructure services company, has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the “Challengers” quadrant of the 2014 Magic Quadrant for Data Center Outsourcing and Infrastructure Utility Services, North America.* The report evaluates the abilities of 22 providers to deliver data center managed services across North America, including data center outsourcing (DCO) services and infrastructure utility services (IUS), which are often enabled by remote infrastructure management (RIM) services and increasingly include cloud computing components.

The Gartner report stated that “future growth in data center services will come from new industrialized infrastructure offerings such as IUS and infrastructure as a service (IaaS), while growth and margins for traditional services will face further pressure.” Gartner believes that by 2015, low-cost cloud-based services will cannibalize up to 15 percent of top outsourcing providers' revenue.

“CompuCom is proud to be positioned as a Challenger in the report and acknowledged as a company with a broad range of infrastructure expertise,” stated Thomas Vetterani, Vice President of Strategy & Messaging at CompuCom. “We have made significant investments in building a dynamic service delivery platform that enables us to offer creative, technically superior solutions. With a ‘customer-first’ philosophy, we are committed to providing outstanding service, continuous improvement and collaborative innovation for our clients.”

This is CompuCom’s fourth appearance in this Magic Quadrant.
