LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The HDBaseT Alliance, the cross-industry group tasked with promoting and advancing HDBaseT technology, is happy to welcome Philips as a new member to the Alliance, joining more than 100 other companies in this sector to advance and promote HDBaseT technology as the global standard for high definition, digital connectivity.
During InfoComm 2014, Philips will be displaying the Philips Signage Solutions V-Line Display (BDL4671VL), with an HDBaseT OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) slot. The V-Line Display is a 46” display, with full high-definition LED technology and Smart Control software suite, addressing the digital signage market’s needs for high performance, simplicity, full control, power savings and versatility over one LAN cable.
Powered by the Valens HDBaseT chipset, HDBaseT enables whole-home and commercial distribution of uncompressed HD multimedia content over a single CAT5e/6 cable. It is a well-suited solution for the digital signage sector as it allows for enhanced performance, increased deployment versatility and cost-effectiveness for both installers and end-users.
