GEICO names Danny Chao field representative of the year

PLEASANT HILL, Calif.--()--Danny Chao of Pleasant Hill, Calif., has been named GEICO's 2013 field representative of the year for his outstanding sales performance, team leadership and community involvement. Chao's local GEICO office at 2340 Monument Blvd., Ste. B, in Pleasant Hill, Calif., ranked number one overall among some 150 GEICO field offices across the country.

Chao, who has served as a GEICO local agent for the past five years, was also GEICO's 2013 field representative sales leader for motorcycles and other recreational vehicles. Chao began his career in the insurance industry in 1994 working with his brother before opening his own agency in 2004, and then his GEICO office in 2009.

Chao is active in the local community, serving as a member of the Concord Chamber of Commerce and a supporter of the local Make-a-Wish Foundation, Bay Institute, local schools and other charitable organizations.
