CHS Middle East, LLC Wins Second Major Medical Services Contract in Iraq

Sallyport Global Services Ltd., a Michael Baker International wholly owned subsidiary, selects CHS Middle East, LLC to provide critical medical services at Balad Air Base, one of the largest military bases in Iraq

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla.--()--Sallyport Global Services Ltd., a Michael Baker International wholly owned subsidiary, has awarded CHS Middle East, LLC a multi-year contract to provide medical services at Balad Air Base under the U.S. Foreign Military Sales Program (“FMS”) supporting the Government of Iraq’s purchase of F-16 aircraft.

Under the multi-million dollar contract, CHS Middle East will provide a full range of clinical services, including on-site emergency care, dental, pharmaceutical, laboratory, x-ray services, resuscitative and general surgery, to as many as 2,500 personnel on Balad Air Base. The company’s specialized expertise dedicated to serving its clients and proven ability to execute, manage, and deliver medical services in austere environments was instrumental in the success of winning a second major medical services contract in Iraq.

CHS Middle East is a wholly owned subsidiary of Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. (CHSi), an industry trusted provider of onsite health centers for the U.S. government and national examination programs for government and commercial clients. CHSi's global reach includes having served clients in 32 countries in Europe, Middle East, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. In North America, CHSi’s nationwide network supports geographically dispersed workforces with 12,000 CHSi-credentialed providers serving clients from 10,000 clinics in all 50 states, U.S. territories, and Canada. The CHSi network includes certified physicians, nurses and other healthcare personnel, many of whom have been associated with CHSi for more than 10 years, including more than 4,400 specialists.

“The health of overseas personnel is critical to the success of operations in Iraq," said Gary G. Palmer, president of CHSi.
