SKF Supplies Solutions to the e-up!, Volkswagen’s First Full Electric Car

GOTHENBURG, Sweden--()--SKF (STO:SKFA)(STO:SKFB)(LSE:SKFB)(Pink Sheets:SKFRY) is supplying Volkswagen with energy efficient bearings to the E-powertrain of their first full electric vehicle, the e-up!.

SKF is supplying customized tapered roller bearings and SKF eDrive Ball Bearings to the electric motor and gearbox of the e-up!, which was launched the Fall of 2013. The solutions help to reduce the friction and noise in the E-powertrain, enabling an extended driving range of the vehicle.
