Cross-Platform Engagement Could Prove Key to OBJE’s Gaming Growth

Game Developers Conference 2014

SARASOTA, Fla.--()--As OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE) works to deliver brilliant new content for the mobile gaming industry, figures released last week at the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco make it clear that cross-platform engagement of users is an opportunity that could prove key to the company’s success.

Gigom.com reported last month that Aaron Brady, an engineering manager on the games team at Facebook (NASDAQ: FB), told a GDC panel that an average of 375 million people play Facebook-connected games each month across both desktop computers and mobile devices. In fact, cross-platform engagement between desktop and mobile is 2.5 times the level of mobile-only players and 1.5 times that of desktop-only gamers.

“Facebook’s internal research clearly illustrates that they should be doubling down on cross-platform gaming in all its forms,” said OBJE CEO Paul Watson. “Compared to the big mobile marketplaces, however, Facebook lags far behind in content.

“We see that as a huge opportunity for our company to help fill the gap,” Watson added.

OBJE representatives attended GDC last week to network and discuss possible partnering opportunities with up-and-coming game developers with an eye toward the future of gaming. The company earned its first revenues last year by releasing new games including Phantasmic, Bluff Wars and Creature Tavern, with a new version of Pac-ball and many more new releases penciled in for the new year.

Through its gaming division, Obscene Interactive, OBJE is working to deliver innovative and engaging gaming products for the Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) App Store and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Play market alongside companies such as Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: GLUU).
