Panasonic TH-65LRU60 LED HDTV for Hospitality Named a Most Efficient of ENERGY STAR® 2014 Product

The Ultra-Thin Hospitality HDTV Joins Other Members of the LRU60 Product Family That Received the Energy Efficient Designation in 2013

NEWARK, N.J.--()--Panasonic, a leading provider of hospitality technology solutions, today announced that its 65” hospitality HDTV TH-65LRU60 was recognized as a Most Efficient ENERGY STAR qualified products in 2014. Products that receive this designation prevent greenhouse gas emissions by meeting rigorous energy efficiency performance levels set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

For the hospitality industry, energy efficiency means less expenditure. Panasonic designed the LRU60 Series with innovative functions that greatly reduce power consumption while ensuring optimal performance. Energy-saving features include a built-in ambient light sensor feature called C.A.T.S. (Contrast Automatic Tracking System) that automatically adjusts the television's screen brightness and contrast to suit the lighting of the room, and helps to lower power consumption overall.

“As budgets tighten, hotels expect not only high levels of functionality and performance, but also energy efficiency for in-room HDTVs,” said Art Rankin, Senior Director, Business and Product Strategy - Audio Visual Technologies, Panasonic System Communications Company of North America. “At Panasonic, we aim to provide the hospitality industry with a wide range of leading edge, energy efficient displays to help them reduce electricity costs and offer their guests a best-in-class in-room television experience.”

Other LRU60 hospitality HDTVs, including the 32” TH-32LRU60, 39” TH-39LRU60 and 42” TH-42LRU60, received this designation in 2013.

LRU60 HDTVs include a built-in Pro:Idiom® digital tuner for Pay-Per-View and Free-to-Guest programming support, and an integrated b-LAN terminal adaptor, eliminating the need for additional external boxes and decreasing the number of cable connections. The TH-65LRU60 also features a thin bezel, is ideal for lobbies, lounges and luxury suites.

The complete LRU60 Series lineup includes the 32” TH-32LRU60, 39” TH-39LRU60, 42” TH-42LRU60, 50” TH-50LRU60, and the ultra-thin 65” TH-65LRU60. All models are available now from authorized Panasonic resellers.
