HELSINKI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BLStream Oy, Finland, and Kupferwerk GmbH, Germany, have today announced a definitive agreement by which BLStream Oy has acquired a 51 percent equity interest in Kupferwerk GmbH. Rainer Hüther, CEO and owner of Kupferwerk GmbH, retains an equity interest of 49 percent in the company and will remain on board as managing director of Kupferwerk GmbH. He will continue to be responsible for the firm’s business operations and sales in Germany. Ludovic Gaudé will continue as CEO of BLStream Oy.

Kupferwerk GmbH has established its position as the market leader in mobile application development in the German market, developing solutions for Audi, T-Mobile, Volkswagen, Microsoft, Vorwerk and Pro7Sat1. Established in 2003, the firm initially focused on usability and user interface testing. In 2007, Kupferwerk GmbH made its first mobile application, and soon afterwards started focusing operations around mobile application development.
