LEAWOOD, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Building on the nationwide success of the AMC Dine-In Theatres concept, AMC Theatres (NYSE: AMC) proudly announces the debut of the all-new AMC Red Kitchen concept in Aurora, Colo., This concept, open now at the AMC Dine-In Theatres Southlands 16 Featuring AMC Red Kitchen, emphasizes freshness, speed and convenience.
At AMC Red Kitchen, guests see the latest movies while dining in a restaurant, complete with fresh entrees and treats from a menu designed by AMC in consultation with Union Square Events, the event services business of renowned, award-winning restaurateur Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). Unlike traditional auditoriums, guests dining at AMC Southlands 16 enjoy the most incredible plush recliners imaginable, with the ability to lay back and lift their feet at the push of a button.

The AMC Red Kitchen concept is designed entirely with the guest’s experience in mind.
- Upon arrival at AMC Southlands 16, guests can place their dining, drink and (if at least 21 years old) beer, wine or cocktail order on a digital tablet, which provides descriptions and pictures of every menu item, and pay at the checkout area.
- Guests can then select from more than 120 different drink options at a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine and head to their reserved seats in the auditorium.
- Each seat is equipped with a service button, which ensures any guest concern is addressed quickly and discretely.
- Food and beer/wine/cocktails are delivered within a few minutes of the guests’ arrival to the auditorium as they recline and settle in for an unforgettable AMC Dine-In experience.
The AMC Red Kitchen menu was developed in consultation with Union Square Events, known for its unparalleled culinary excellence and warm hospitality. Those looking for something beyond traditional theater fare will be delighted by the menu options, which features items like a chicken and artichoke Panini, a North Carolina-Style pulled pork wrap, a roasted vegetable skewers platter and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. And movie theatre favorites like popcorn, candy and a selection of desserts are available as well.
Additionally, all guests 21 and older can grab a beer, glass of wine, cocktail, or food at the MacGuffins® Bar. Named after a movie term coined by famed filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock, MacGuffins is AMC’s take on a neighborhood bar where guests can hang out before or after the show.
