ONTARIO, Canada--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cloud Practice, Inc. has announced that ClinicAid, its web-based medical billing software, is now available in Ontario. Medical practices throughout the province will now be able to dramatically streamline their billing to the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), easily record and consolidate their medical billing data, and integrate with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as OSCAR. ClinicAid also makes it possible for medical professionals to access their data from anywhere using a computer, tablet or smartphone with an Internet connection.
ClinicAid is designed to save physicians time and money by eliminating or reducing many of the complications associated with billing. It also allows physicians and their staff to process more invoices in less time and with fewer billing rejections. Key features of ClinicAid include built-in timesavers such as resource tables to search for service codes, diagnostic codes, and select referral doctor IDs, a default provider setting, favorite codes lists, and templates for default invoices. ClinicAid is entirely web-based and can be used as stand-alone software or integrated with EMR systems for fully automated billing.
Physicians in Alberta who have been using ClinicAid since it launched in 2012 say it has made a significant improvement in how they bill and allows for much-needed flexibility.

The Ministry recently announced that all physicians are mandated to transition from the current GONet dialup modem system to MCEDT by December 18th, 2014. Switching over to MCEDT with ClinicAid will allow for automated submissions for Ontario’s practices.
