Royal HaskoningDHV Chooses Box for Cloud-based Content Sharing and Collaboration

LONDON--()--Box today announced that Royal HaskoningDHV, a global player in engineering, construction and project management, has chosen Box to power secure content sharing and collaboration across its organization of 7,000 professionals and with clients. With the challenge of managing 10-to-20-year long projects among multiple business partners and governments in over 48 countries, Royal HaskoningDHV turned to Box's cloud-based platform to get the flexibility it needed to maintain speed, productivity and a competitive edge that its previous on-premise solutions couldn't provide.

“Box has gone way beyond where we thought it would. It has opened up collaboration possibilities and business opportunities that we were not anticipating, giving us a competitive edge," said Roland Daane, corporate information manager at Royal HaskoningDHV. "We're confident that Box’s enterprise capabilities fill the needs of every one of our employees and clients from a security, regulatory and content accessibility standpoint."

Initially, Royal HaskoningDHV worked with on-premise servers in individual offices, but when the business expanded and globalized, it was clear that this siloed approach wasn’t going to serve their needs. By leveraging Box, Royal HaskoningDHV will be able to continue building a productive global team and remain competitive through Box's enterprise-grade features, including permissions controls and security and collaborative features, such as comments and versioning.

Box provides simple and secure access to information from anywhere and on any device. Users can share information securely with both internal and external collaborators, making it a strong solution for businesses working with various clients, partners and contacts.

"The cloud has dramatically democratised technology, giving businesses of all sizes a powerful source of competitive advantage,” said David Quantrell, senior vice president of EMEA, Box. “In today’s mobile world, companies are moving away from legacy technologies and toward adopting enterprise-grade cloud solutions that provide the level of security they need to protect their content, the controls to adopt BYOD policies and the simplicity that users gravitate towards."

Box’s mission is to make businesses more productive, competitive, and powerful by connecting people and their most important information. Worldwide, more than 20M users at 200,000 businesses use Box, including National Rail, Procter & Gamble, Rosetta Stone, Schneider Electric, and Toyota. Since first opening a London office in June 2012, Box has more than doubled customer growth outside of the US and continues to expand throughout Europe. In addition to growing its existing offices in London, Munich and Paris, Box has recently added employees in the UK and in select countries to address growing demand for partnerships and sales in Eastern Europe, Middle East, the Nordics, Benelux, Spain and Italy.
