SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--YEVVO, a raw, responsive medium to create your story with others in real-time through live mobile video, announces the closing of a Series A round of investment valued at $3.7 million. The round was led by Israeli-based Aleph with investment from Entrée Capital. The investment, which follows a $500,000 Angel Round, marks the migration toward real-time participation and the growing demand for the intimacy of live mobile-to-mobile video.
The $3.7 million in funding will enable the product to scale in meeting demand amongst its growing users and evolving the technology of the San Francisco and Tel Aviv-based company.
“The next generation of social is not about sharing, but rather taking part,” said Ben Rubin, CEO and co-founder, YEVVO. “With YEVVO, people enjoy the ability to immediately go live with their friends and viewers. The audience changes the reality as the story unfolds in real time. With one click, you can bring your friends and family into your reality.”
As technology and people’s desire for real-time participation has evolved – especially among the seamlessly connected Gen Z set – the delay between life’s moments and the communication and engagement around them continues to decrease. YEVVO empowers users to live and communicate simultaneously, as they affect content being created and help take part in the story. In only the past month, usage has tripled and indicates an active community of users expressing their creativity, thoughts and feelings.
“The participation and engagement we see on YEVVO, especially across audiences looking past today’s social media platforms, is unprecedented,” said Eden Shochat, founding partner at Aleph. “We’re excited by Ben’s vision and investing in the YEVVO team’s further growth.”
Founded in 2013, YEVVO is a raw, responsive medium to create your story with others in real time through live, mobile video. Built to power unfiltered, real-time storytelling and participation, YEVVO is live or never -- just slide to stream or to watch.
