Mark Treitel, Esq. Named IP Hero Award Winner

DURHAM, N.C.--()--Mr. Mark Treitel, Esquire of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP is the latest IP professional to be recognized as an IP Hero Award winner. The IP Hero Awards are an international program developed to recognize individuals in the Intellectual Property industry who have made outstanding contributions to the industry or organization(s) they represent.

Mark, a licensed patent litigation attorney, has been practicing law for fifteen years and holds dual memberships with both the California and New York state bars. Mark has worked on technology patent matters including the global Samsung-Apple litigation. He holds a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tufts University.

Mr. Treitel won the title of IP Hero from his noted work contributed to the LAIPLA (Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association) where he currently serves on the Board of Directors. In 2012, Mark lead the redesign of the LAIPLA website, and has been co-chairman of several industry networking events. Darren Franklin, LAIPLA Vice President said, “Mark has provided superior work to the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association. He has been instrumental in raising the association's profile in social media and in starting the association's Ambassador Program, which promotes our programs at law firms and companies who deal with intellectual property.”
