2014 NAPE EXPO® Brings Oil & Gas Industry Together

Winter NAPE 2014

FORT WORTH, Texas--()--Next week NAPE will bring together over 16,000 attendees and showcase more than 900 exhibiting companies in Houston for what is known as, “THE” marketplace for buying, selling and trading of oil and gas prospects and producing properties. The expo will be held February 4-7 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

NAPE will provide several educational and industry-related opportunities including the NAPE Business Conference, featuring former secretary of the interior, Ken Salazar; the Decision Maker’s Breakfast with American Economist, Alan Greenspan; and the NAPE Charities Industry Luncheon with former secretary of Defense, Robert Gates as the keynote speaker. The expo will also offer world-wide opportunities through NAPE International, which hosts informative programs and an expo to learn more about international prospects and the chance to network with global representatives. NAPE International brings prospects, capital providers and vendors under one roof to network, provide economic benefit to the participants and promote all aspects of different countries with oil and gas exploration, mining and extractive natural resource business. There will be 41 countries attending the international expo along with 35 prospect presentations.

The NAPE Business conference is held on Wednesday, Feb. 5, and is presented by IHS. After remarks from Pete Stark, senior research director and advisor at IHS, the session will begin with keynote speakers, Ken Salazar, former Secretary of the Interior, and Luke Keller, vice president of BP America. Following the session, a panel discussion will consider the impacts of regulations in balancing the needs of public interests and the desire to increase U.S. energy supplies and energy security. Panelists include Christi Craddick, Texas Railroad Commissioner; Matthew Lepore, director of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission; Don McClure, vice president of Government, Stakeholder Relations and Legal at EnCana Oil & Gas USA; and David Blackmon, managing director at FTI Consulting.

On Thursday, February 6, NAPE will present this year’s Decision Maker’s Breakfast at the Hilton Americas with keynote speaker, Alan Greenspan. He will share his insight on the U.S. economy and the future of the oil and gas industry through a moderated Q&A session at the exclusive event. Later that day the conference will continue with the NAPE Charities Industry Luncheon in the George W. Bush Ballroom of the George R. Brown Convention Center.
