SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SoundHound Inc., the revolutionary sound search company, today announced a partnership with the Hyundai Motor Group, South Korea’s leading automobile manufacturing group, to embed the SoundHound music and sound recognition application directly into select Hyundai & Kia vehicles.
This coming spring, drivers of these vehicles will be able to identify songs and access SoundHound features directly through their vehicle’s head unit without having to pull out their mobile phones. The feature will initially be available in Hyundai and Kia vehicles in North America, South Korea and China. Hyundai vehicle models integrated with SoundHound will include the all-new 2015 Genesis.

SoundHound has developed a unique feature set designed specifically for car integration. The SoundHound icon will be seen within the Hyundai/Kia touch screen-enabled head unit and sound recognition can be activated with one touch. The results screen will provide users with information about the song, artist and recommendations based on the song result. The app will track historical searches as well and, once registered, users will ultimately see their search histories across any device where SoundHound can be accessed.
