Enterra Solutions Adds Talent to its Cognitive Computing, Big Data Analytics and Insights Team

NEWTOWN, Pa.--()--Enterra Solutions, LLC, a leading-edge cognitive computing and Big Data analytics and insights firm, announced today that it has hired six new professionals to complement its world-class team of computer science, artificial intelligence, applied mathematics, and digital marketing professionals. These individuals, all of whom fill new positions, bring a wide range of commercial and academic experience to Enterra Solutions, which works with leading corporations and governmental agencies to capitalize on the power and potential of Big Data through advanced analytics and actionable insights.

The new members of the Enterra team include:

Joseph F. Lynch, Vice President of Engineering. A senior information technology executive, Lynch brings 15 years of experience in leading strategic, large-scale, C-level technology development and management consulting engagements while serving as Vice President of IT Applications at TRAC Intermodal and as Director of Professional Services at Princeton Consultants. Lynch graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics with a minor in mathematics. He has published articles in Applied Physics Letters, Nature Science, and the journal Carbon.

Mara Tyler, Vice President of Digital Marketing. Tyler is a talented online marketing professional from Silicon Valley with more than a dozen years of experience working with technology companies, consumer products brands, and ad networks. She has held senior online marketing and e-commerce positions in which she was responsible for optimizing revenue through digital channels. During her career, Tyler has worked for leading brands such as Symantec, Creative Labs, Key3Media, Lightspan, Ziff Davis, and Palm. Tyler attended the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Douglas Foxvog, Senior Ontologist. A senior computer science and cognitive computing technologist, Foxvog has spent the past 15 years working on computer processing of meaning by systematizing knowledge through ontologies and advancing the development of the Semantic Web. As a visiting researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Foxvog worked on the Open Biological and Biomedical Ontologies (OBO), Cell Line and Plant Ontologies; along with developing ontologies for the Materials Genome Initiative. He began his knowledge engineering career as a Senior Ontologist at Cycorp, where he developed meta-class ontologies. Prior to Cycorp, he was a Member of the Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories, the National Institutes of Health, the Technology Research Centre of Finland, and the Hefei Polytechnic University. Foxvog earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University.

Jan-Samuel (Sam) Wagner, Senior Associate. A former healthcare consultant, Wagner has worked with pharmaceutical companies on health economics and outcomes research studies and taught biostatistics and epidemiology at Columbia University’s School of Public Health. He also worked at Columbia’s School of Public Health as a research assistant in the Department of Health Policy and Management, and as a research assistant at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology. Wagner received a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University. Sam is also the co-author of numerous peer-reviewed articles and working papers on health-related subjects.

Asa Adadey, Associate Software Engineer. Adadey has more than half a decade of research experience in the fields of molecular biology, genetics, transcription, RNA splicing, translation, gene regulation, and cell differentiation. Prior to Enterra, Adadey worked as a research assistant at the Burge Laboratory for the Computational Biology of Gene Expression at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has held internships at Stanford University; the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; Harvard University; and the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Adadey received a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in computational and systems biology and a Bachelor of Science degree in bioinformatics and computational biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Chaka Benson, Lead Database Developer. Benson has more than 20 years of experience in large scale system administration, development, and optimization of relational databases for pharmaceutical, telecommunications, and software companies. Prior to joining Enterra, Benson was a consultant at IDBS, where he provided technical leadership to the global professional services team. Prior to IDBS, he worked at Ansaris (formerly Locus Pharmaceuticals) as an informatics architect. Earlier in his career, Benson held positions with GMAC Mortgage, Merck, SmithKline Beecham, MCI, and Bell Atlantic. He studied management of information systems at Drexel University.
