DOYLESTOWN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FlowMetric, a market leader in flow cytometry and cell sorting services, announced today that they have hired Rachel A. Bunting to lead their Business Development Unit. Ms. Bunting will be tasked with overseeing a rapidly expanding portfolio of FlowMetric clients and driving the adoption of their flow cytometry services deeper into the translational, pre-clinical and early phase drug development markets. Ms. Bunting brings both scientific excellence and business insights to her role at FlowMetric, Inc.
Ms. Bunting is an expert in polychromatic flow cytometry and immunology-based assays having worked for over 7 years, as an in vitro and in vivo scientist at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company. Ms. Bunting also developed her business acumen while at Janssen as she led multiple initiatives critical to streamlining internal business practices, specifically the recruitment and management of external CROs and academic institutions as they assisted in the drug development process.
Ms. Bunting has authored more than 10 peer reviewed scientific manuscripts and holds several patents. She received her MS in Molecular Pathology from the University of Texas at Houston in 2005 and her MBA in Pharmaceutical Management from Drexel’s Lebow College of Business in 2010. Ms. Bunting is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA).
