LOS ANGELES--()--Asher Delug, founder and CEO of mobile advertising pioneer Airpush (www.airpush.com), has been named to Socaltech 50, an awards program showcasing the region’s premier technology leaders.

The Socaltech 50 will be honored on Dec. 11 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, in conjunction with the Digital Family Reunion, an annual holiday gathering of Southern California’s tech community. The event is sponsored by Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp., Internap, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Demand Media, Stubbs, Alderton & Markiles LLP, Oracle, Cresa Partners, PIXT, and Deloitte, among others.

“Getting to this list of the 50 up-and-coming people in Southern California's technology ecosystem was not easy,” said Benjamin Kuo, publisher of Socaltech News. “We received over 700 nominations for people to be considered on the list, and it took a lot of work by our selection committee to pick 50 people who represent some of the best of what the region has to offer.”

“Given the innovation and energy in L.A. right now, this is an extraordinary honor,” said Asher Delug, CEO, Airpush. “We started Airpush to give members of the tech community a tool to drive world class results in mobile. Being recognized by many of these same members means that we’re on the right track and that our fast growth hasn’t derailed us from our vision of elevating mobile to the center stage of digital media.”

Based in Los Angeles, but with an active presence throughout the world, Airpush was established with the aim of redefining the mobile advertising market. Since its inception, the company has launched a variety of work class innovations that advertisers and developers have used to maximize their performance and profits. Today, more than 120,000 apps and most of the world’s top advertisers rely on Airpush to deliver the industry's highest performance, driven by diverse ad formats, leading first-party data and proven targeting technology.

Airpush recently launched AirDSP, an innovative self-serve portal that employs the industry’s most advanced optimization and audience targeting tools to enable advertisers to run campaigns across all major mobile RTB exchanges and SSPs from a single interface. To provide AirDSP clients with RTB campaigns of virtually unlimited scale, Airpush has partnered with leading mobile RTB supply sources around the world, among them Inneractive, MobClix, MoPub, OpenX and Smaato. Earlier this fall, the company acquired Hubbl, a New York-based leader in mobile native advertising and personalization, and will enlist that technology to launch the world’s most comprehensive and advanced native advertising platform for mobile.

The Socaltech 50 selection committee included Marc Averitt (Okapi Venture Capital), Barbara Bry (Blackbird Ventures, founder of Proflowers), Amanda Coolong (TechZulu), Peter Delgrosso (D&B Credibility, formerly of Web.com, United Online), John Greathouse (Rincon Venture Partners, formerly at ExpertCity, CallWave), Matthew Jenusaitis (OCTANe), Mike Jones (Science, Inc, former CEO of MySpace), Kamran Pourzanjani (Bestcovery, founder of Pricegrabber), David Toomey (Cresa Partners), Andy Wilson (Innovate Pasadena, Rexter, formerly GM at Overture), and Benjamin Kuo (socalTECH.com).
