DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bolt Public Relations, a bi-coastal public relations and social media management agency, announced today the establishment of the agency’s third U.S. office, which will be located in North Texas. The move to Dallas/Fort Worth, where the company is currently searching for real estate, was a strategic one based on the region’s strong economy, growth and diverse industry presence.
Founded in 2007, Bolt PR has offices in Irvine, Calif. and Raleigh, N.C., and specializes in building a bridge from traditional media relations to the digital world through content marketing, copywriting, social media management and community relations.
“The reports have been consistent about the vibrant economy and countless opportunities in North Texas,” said Bolt PR Founder and President Caroline Callaway. “Our ability to provide impactful results, highly competitive rates and brand visibility that makes a difference, continues to prove valuable for clients in this new economy.”
To help develop a presence and client base in North Texas, Callaway recruited a seasoned PR and social media executive who is no stranger to the local media and the Dallas/Fort Worth region – Shawn Paul Wood. Together with Callaway, Wood will be responsible for implementing Bolt PR’s award-winning approach to integrated communications, new business development and management of all accounts from its new office in North Texas.
“I am thrilled to be a crucial part of the success of this dynamic agency,” said Wood. “Clients across this region are searching for a way to bridge traditional media outreach to audiences using all mediums. With the expertise Bolt PR provides, as well as what I have been honored to cultivate in my own career, I know we will be able to make a difference in public relations, creative design, interactive development, social media management and copywriting for many brands across North Texas.”
Wood is an award-winning radio producer, voice-over artist and news director turned leading PR executive, copywriter and online strategist with more than 20 years of experience. Wood has represented Fortune 500 organizations and leaders across industries that include aviation, consumer, education, energy, entertainment, hospitality, multicultural, municipalities, nonprofit and travel/tourism. Additionally, Wood is also a nationally searched and regarded blogger for the industry in both mediabistro’s PR Newser and TalentZoo’s Flack Me networks.
His extensive background in broadcast media, public affairs, community relations and creative branding makes him an integral part of the Bolt PR team. Before serving in his current role, Wood served in director-level positions at Dallas-based HCK2 Partners and global PR firm Burson-Marsteller, as well as became Bishop T.D. Jakes' first media representative – whom he served for nearly 10 years and helped to cultivate the trusted media brand he carries today.
Wood holds a doctorate and master’s degree from Slidell Baptist Seminary and a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from the University of North Texas.
