Kip Field Joins HDR as Southern California Area Manager

IRVINE, Calif.--()--Kip Field, P.E., has joined HDR as the area manager for Southern California, based in the Irvine office. He will oversee the efforts of 350 HDR engineering professionals throughout the region.

Prior to joining HDR, Field served as the director of public works for the city of Corona, Calif. During difficult economic times, he was successful in obtaining funding and leading the department through development and completion of multiple water and roadway infrastructure projects. As a partner with the Riverside County Transportation Commission, Field also served in the lead role for the city in developing the State Route 91 Corridor Improvement Project, a $1.3 billion design-build freeway improvement project through the city.

Field has more than 26 years of experience in planning, developing and implementing California infrastructure projects in both the private and public sectors. His began his career at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, focused on transportation planning and land development. He then spent more than 17 years with Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc. His notable project achievements include program management of California High-Speed Rail and the Orange County Transportation Authority’s Metrolink Expansion/Grade Crossing Program.
