Univa Corporation and Penguin Computing Announce Reseller Agreement

Penguin Computing to offer Univa Grid Engine software, the enterprise version of the most widely used workload management technology

FREMONT, Calif. & MARKHAM, Ontario--()--Univa, the Data Center Automation Company, and Penguin Computing, experts in high performance and enterprise computing solutions, today announced they have signed a reseller agreement. As a result, Penguin Computing is an authorized reseller of Univa® Grid Engine™ software, the most advanced distributed resource management platform used by enterprises and research organizations across the globe. The announcement was made at the 2013 International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC13) being held November 17 – 22 in Denver, Colorado.

This year has been a banner year for Grid Engine. The software celebrated its 20th anniversary and Univa simultaneously completed the acquisition of all Grid Engine assets and intellectual property making it the sole commercial provider of Grid Engine. With Univa Grid Engine, enterprises can efficiently share workloads across machines in a data center to maximize the value of existing compute resources.

In addition to Univa’s core product, Penguin Computing will also provide customers with Univa’s tools to optimize expensive testing and simulation licenses as well as award-winning reporting and analysis solutions.
