Phil Dixon Joins Tillster as Chief Technology Officer

Former Betfair CTO brings expertise in enterprise and consumer ecommerce from Europe’s largest internet company

LOS ANGELES--()--Phil Dixon has joined Tillster Inc. as the company’s Chief Technology Officer, bringing nearly two decades of senior leadership experience in building technology to enable enterprise and consumer applications at scale. Dixon will use his experience and expertise in high volume, high availability systems and internet commerce to build upon Tillster’s technology platform and advantage within the restaurant industry and across its various guest ordering and guest engagement channels.

Dixon will be responsible for developing technologies that enable Tillster’s core mission of driving revenues, margins and guest engagement, building upon the technology from EMN8 and its wholly owned subsidiary, Snapfinger, and scaling the company’s digital store platform to support Tillster’s domestic and international expansion.

“I’m thrilled to join the Tillster team during an exciting period in the company’s history,” Dixon says. “We will be enhancing our existing platform and developing new, key technologies to drive further user engagement and positive bottom line impact for our restaurant customers. I look forward to expanding our platform capabilities in delivering ordering choice to guests and one-to-one engagement tools to restaurants.”

Before joining Tillster, Dixon served as Chief Technology Officer of Betfair, Plc., Europe’s largest internet company, where he facilitated the creation and delivery of licensed world-class sports betting and eGaming products through diverse user engagement platforms. Notably, the consumer platforms that Dixon designed and architected processed over 950 million transactions per year and served more than 125,000 requests per second.

Additionally, Dixon served as Vice President of Engineering at Shopzilla.com, a global comparison shopping network, as well as co-founder, director and Chief Technology Officer of Project.net, a premier provider of Enterprise Project Management software with a global base of 200,000 users. He also held senior leadership roles with numerous other organizations, such as NetProfit Investment Technologies, Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, Sourcefinder and Internet Services Corporation.

Bilal Chinoy, who previously held the position in addition to his role as Senior Vice President, Product, will assume the newly created role of Chief Product Officer, where he will oversee product strategy and product management for Tillster’s digital store platform.
