O’Charley’s Salutes Veterans, Active Duty Military Personnel with Complimentary Meal

Restaurant continues celebration of our nation’s military throughout the year, encourages guests to take part by signing oversized “thank-you” cards

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--On Monday, November 11, O’Charley’s will thank veterans and all active-duty military personnel by offering a complimentary meal on Veterans Day as part of the restaurant’s ongoing recognition of our nation’s servicemen and women.

With a military I.D. or other proof of service, veterans and active-duty servicemembers will have their choice of one of nine meals on the O’Charley’s “$9.99er” menu. Options include O’Charley’s Famous Chicken Tenders & Twisted Chips, Cowboy Sirloin, Homestyle Chicken Pot Pie and Santa Fe Tilapia, among others.

As part of the Veterans Day festivities, O’Charley’s will also have oversized “thank-you” cards located in the lobby of every restaurant location, and encourages guests to sign the cards and extend their appreciation to our servicemen and women. The cards will be available in each of the 213 restaurants beginning November 6. O’Charley’s managers will deliver O’Charley’s whole pies, featuring Perfect Pumpkin and Southern Pecan, to local military organizations the week of November 4 to show their thanks and invite them to dine with O’Charley’s on Veterans Day.

“It is a year-long commitment of O’Charley’s to recognize our nation’s military,” said Mickey Mills, President of O’Charley’s. “Offering a free meal to our military servicemen and women on Veterans Day is just another way of saying a sincere ‘thank you.’ We are truly honored to have our veterans and active-duty servicemembers at our restaurants every day and especially on this holiday.”

O’Charley’s has a history of honoring Veteran’s. 50 veterans and active-duty servicemembers have been recognized since April 2013 through the restaurant’s Hometown Hero program. O’Charley’s also supports Operation Gratitude, a non-profit organization that sends care packages to individually named U.S. servicemembers in hostile regions overseas. O’Charley’s recently partnered with non-profit organization Operation Homefront and began a wine promotion on October 28. A percentage of sales are being donated to the organization, which supports and provides emergency and financial assistance to the families of deployed servicemembers.

If you would like to nominate future Hometown Heroes, please email O’Charley’s at Hometown.Heroes@OCharleys.com. Include the veteran or active duty servicemember’s name, a description of their service, and your zip code.
