UINT & MEREAL BIOMETRICS Launch New Smart Card with Embedded Fingerprint Sensor

CARTES 2013

PARIS--()--Today marks the launch of the first multi-applications Powered Smart Card with Embedded Fingerprint Sensor. It is designed to enable biometric identification and eliminate all concerns relating to privacy of holders as biometric data never leave the card.
Designed by Patrick Partouche, President of Mereal Biometrics and UINT’s Team, the product is now ready for release after 4 years of Research and Development. The invention and technologies have been protected worldwide by several patents.
“With the wide deployment of biometrics and the rise in identity fraud, I have been advocating on simple but secure solution to enable Trust with our customers, employees and partners” says Patrick Partouche.

A new generation of Smart Card is born; for the first time a smart card is having its own embedded biometric fingerprint reader, realize the verification on board (Match On Card) and could be used through multiple channels. It operates and releases holder’s rights via its fingerprint identification to several applications, thanks to its internal contactless rechargeable source of power (hundreds of time between cycles).

“We bring to market an all in one card solution to protect assets but also the privacy of our card holders enabling new relations and services between parties” adds Philippe BLOT, Chief Executive Officer of UINT.
The solution will be showcased at the upcoming Cartes Event in Paris in November.
