GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Century Communities, Inc. (the “Company”), a leading builder of upscale single-family homes, townhomes and flats, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Jimmy Jacobs Homes’ Austin and San Antonio, Texas operations and assets. Jimmy Jacobs Homes is one of central Texas’ premier homebuilders and is recognized as one of the nation’s largest homebuilders by Builder and Professional Builder magazines. The strategic acquisition achieves Century Communities’ strategy of expanding into the vibrant central Texas market.
In addition, Century Communities announced that it has entered into six other transactions in Austin. As a result of these transactions Century Communities will now own or control 915 lots in Austin and San Antonio. These acquisitions bring the Company’s total land position of owned and controlled lots to over 5,700, an increase of over 23 percent since the end of the second quarter of 2013.

In addition, Century Communities announced the hiring of Mr. Steve Hayes to lead the Company’s central Texas operations as division president. Mr. Hayes is a 20 year veteran of the Texas homebuilding community, including 14 years as a division president with McGuyer Homebuilders in Dallas and Austin. He was also responsible for managing in excess of 500 annual unit deliveries, integrating homebuilder acquisitions and is a recognized leader in Texas Eco/Green homebuilding.
