SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Yahoo debuted its Fall Comedy Lineup including all episodes of eight original web series, the entire Saturday Night Live clip archive and clips from Viacom’s Comedy Central and MTV shows, including The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, and more. More than 1,000 hours of comedy content and 5,000 clips are available today on mobile with a brand new Yahoo Screen app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch (download here) and online on the refreshed Yahoo Screen desktop experience (http://screen.yahoo.com).
First announced at Yahoo’s 2013 Digital Content NewFront, the new comedy web shows feature top comedic talent including Jack Black in Ghost Ghirls, John Stamos in Losing It With John Stamos, Ed Helms and Zachary Levi in Tiny Commando, Cheryl Hines and Rachael Harris in We Need Help and many others in a variety of comedy genres. Adding to Yahoo’s comedy lineup is the entire 38-season archive of Saturday Night Live clips, along with clips from the current season. The Saturday Night Live clips and several of the new original shows will be available on Yahoo sites around the world.
With its new Viacom partnership, Yahoo is also bringing some of the most popular Comedy Central and MTV shows’ clips to Yahoo Screen. On Monday, September 9, clips from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, and MTV News will be available on Yahoo Screen. Additional Viacom programming, including clips from South Park, as well as several MTV and Comedy Central shows, will launch in October 2013. Together with the exclusive digital clip archive of SNL, Yahoo Screen now offers access to some of the most storied franchises in comedy history, on any device.
Yahoo is the first advertising-supported digital distributor to release this volume of content at one time, giving users a “marathon viewing” experience. Channel-based premium content mirrors consumer daily habits with categories that include Popular, Comedy, Food, Celebrity, Gaming, Sports and others, populated by a growing list of premium partners.
The refreshed Yahoo Screen website (http://screen.yahoo.com) drives discovery, marathon viewing and sharing. The new site also offers expanded channel options and opportunity to personalize the experience. Yahoo originally launched Screen in 2011 as a hub for premium original content; it has since housed several hit web series, including the 2013 Emmy-nominated Burning Love (http://screen.yahoo.com/burning-love).

Ghost Ghirls (debut) - Ghost Ghirls is a web comedy series following the antics of two best friends, Heidi (Amanda Lund) and Angelica (Maria Blasucci), who work as paranormal investigators. Each episode details the bumbling adventures of the hilarious duo as they attempt to solve other-worldly cases while not tripping over themselves in the process. The show was created by Drunk History's Jeremy Konner, along with stars Lund and Blasucci.
