New Conversion Academy Awards to Honor eCommerce Companies that Maximize Conversion via Superior Online Shopping Experiences

SeeWhy Conversion Academy Announces Call for Entries;
Judges from Shop.org, Demandware and Other Marketing Industry Organizations

BOSTON--()--SeeWhy, Inc., the market leader in online shopping cart recovery, today announced the Call for Entries for the first marketing and online retail industry awards that recognize eCommerce companies for maximizing conversion rates by delivering superior online shopping experiences. Nominations for The Conversion Academy Awards will be considered via online voting as well as by a panel of industry judges from organizations that specialize in eCommerce and conversion optimization. The submission deadline is August 30, 2013.

Who: The Conversion Academy Awards are open to any company that owns and operates an eCommerce site. eCommerce software and services vendors may also co-submit for an award with their eCommerce clients. The 2013 submissions will be reviewed by an esteemed panel of industry experts:

  • Tim Ash, President & CEO, SiteTuners
  • Mark Bartlett, Director of Customer Experience Practice, Crown Partners
  • Artemis Ebneyousef Berry, VP of Digital Retail, Shop.org
  • Charlie Cole, President & CEO, The Line
  • Rick Kenney, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Demandware
  • Charles Nicholls, Founder & Chief Strategy Officer, SeeWhy
  • Brian Walker, SVP of Strategy, hybris

What: There are five 2013 Award categories. Five finalists will be selected for each category and one winner will be chosen from each group. Information about scoring criteria and the selection process is available on the Award Rules page. Categories are:

  • Best customer checkout experience
  • Best eCommerce storefront
  • Best mobile/tablet eCommerce experience
  • Best eCommerce marketing campaign
  • Best overall eCommerce user experience

When: The nomination period for the 2013 awards begins today and closes on August 30th. Five finalists in each category will be announced September 9th. The five winners will be announced online and honored at the Shop.org 2013 Annual Summit on October 1st. Prior to the winners announcement, finalists will be featured in a September 24th webinar highlighting best practices in eCommerce conversion.

Where: To enter, visit the online awards entry form, with complete award rules and instructions, at http://www.conversionawards.com. There is no fee to submit.

How: Winners will be selected through a combination of online audience voting (25% of scoring ─ of the 25 finalists only) and ranking by the panel of industry judges (75% of scoring) from various companies that specialize in eCommerce and conversion optimization techniques. Audience voting will take place online via an Awards website to be launched and communicated via social media, in conjunction with the announcement of the finalists, in September.
