Finalists Announced for the 2013 NCTA 21 Awards

RALEIGH, N.C.--()--The North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), the primary voice of the technology industry in North Carolina, today announced the finalists for the NCTA 21 Awards. The NCTA 21 Awards is North Carolina's only statewide technology awards program, recognizing companies, organizations and individuals that have characterized excellence, innovation and leadership in 21 categories.

A review committee comprised of non-profit, media, education, and technology leaders across the state selects the finalists. The awards process culminates with the NCTA 21 Awards Gala on November 7, at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham, N.C., where 800-plus leaders will gather to celebrate the tech sector and honor finalists in each category. Winners will be announced live that evening. The finalists are:

NCTA will also present three individual awards, including:

  • Public Leadership: awarded to a public sector individual who has provided leadership in the use of technology to advance North Carolina
  • Tech Exec of the Year: decided by an online poll to be launched in early September, this award recognizes a senior NC-based executive who is recognized in the community as a top technology leader
  • Outstanding Achievement: presented to an individual who, over their career, has helped advance the technology industry
