BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ShopAdvisor, the shopping experience company for media, today announced that it is bringing a new, interactive shopping experience to the tablet edition of Allure magazine, the beauty expert. Starting in the September issue, Allure tablet readers will gain an easy and intuitive way to shop the highly edited products featured in content and advertisements without leaving the pages of the magazine.
ShopAdvisor’s innovative service will allow readers to shop the pages of Allure from a curated list of retailers at the touch of a button. Allure readers will also be able to save products they discover by adding them to a ShopAdvisor “watch” list, and set reminders of listed products at a date of their choosing. The list will be accessible across web and mobile, enabling readers to reference the list while shopping at brick-and-mortar stores.
“Allure is a trusted source for product recommendations and has historically been a shopping vehicle for beauty consumers,” said Scott Cooper, CEO of ShopAdvisor. “Adding interactive shopping to its tablet edition is a natural progression for the publication as its readers look to the pages of the magazine for purchase inspiration from both editorial and advertisements. ShopAdvisor connects the dots from interest to purchase to the benefit of Allure, its readers and its advertisers.”
In addition to improving the reader experience, ShopAdvisor will also enable Allure to offer increased value to advertisers by expanding the potential engagement of ads. Ads will become interactive and provide brands the opportunity to feature additional products as well as establish ongoing engagement with readers through “remind-me-later” notifications. With this combination, brand advertisers have the unprecedented ability to engage in the customer journey from discovery through purchase.
With ShopAdvisor, readers directly interact with magazine advertising and editorial content across their media platforms of choice to learn about, be reminded of, or purchase their favorite products. For publishers, ShopAdvisor closes the loop between media and retail, deepening reader engagement, enhancing advertising ROI and generating new revenue.
Founded in 2011 and based in Boston, Mass., ShopAdvisor also offers consumer apps for iPhone, iPad, Android and the Web. For more information, visit www.shopadvisor.com.
