NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dynamic learning is taking place in classrooms where students are using the Schoology learning management system, recently selected by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) for having some of the best learning apps in K-12 education. The Schoology mobile apps are native apps with specific functionality maximizing how tablets and other mobile devices are used for teaching and learning.
The shift toward using personal devices or school-distributed technology in today’s classroom is called 1:1 learning, meaning that each student has a tablet, smartphone or computer for multimedia instructional resources, to complete assignments, to explore the Internet and to collaborate with peers.

The AASL states that the Best Apps for Teaching & Learning facilitate inquiry-based, 21st-century teaching and learning and also foster innovation, creativity and active collaboration.
