Daifuku Webb Holding Company To Acquire Wynright Corporation

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.--()--Daifuku Webb Holding Company (Daifuku Webb), a subsidiary of Daifuku Co., Ltd., and Wynright Corporation (Wynright) announced today that they have reached a definitive agreement for Daifuku Webb to acquire privately-owned Wynright. Under the agreement, Wynright will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daifuku Webb. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013. Wynright is a U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems, including leading-edge conveyor and sortation systems, voice- and light-directed order fulfillment technology, a suite of warehouse controls and execution software, robotics, mezzanines, and structures.

The acquisition of Wynright fits into Daifuku’s new corporate management plan, Value Innovation 2017, which started in April 2013. The plan outlines the company’s goals of increasing sales and operating margin, as well as enhancing its role as a true value innovator that provides the best solutions for its customers.
