Russian Physicist Anatoli Borissov Rejoins BlueFire Team

Prominent scientist will focus on developing additional breakthrough technology

HOUSTON--()--BlueFire Equipment Corporation (OTCQB: BLFR) announced today that Dr. Anatoli Borissov will rejoin the company’s team as its chief operating officer.

Previously, Borissov headed up BlueFire’s research and design component and was instrumental in the development of BlueFire’s proprietary polycrystalline diamond cutter (PDC) drill bit. BlueFire’s exclusive design has the ability to provide higher rates of penetration (ROP) and longer bit runs in hard rock formations and shales, representing a breakthrough in drilling technology.

Russian-born Borissov came to the U.S. in 1993 as a Fulbright Professor at the University of Maryland’s Department of Aerospace Engineering. Prior to that time, he managed a team of 85 scientists at the Russian Academy of Science in Novosibirsk in southwestern Siberia. He has a Doctor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics and Thermophysics from the Institute for Thermophysics of the Russian Academy of Science, Novosibirsk. He holds a Master of Science in Physics and Interior Ballistics from Tomsk State University, Russia.

Borissov is a world-recognized expert in thermophysics, combustion processes, heat and mass transfer, and gas dynamics. He has authored a book, published many significant scientific papers and has four decades of experience in applied physics and combustion engineering.
