NORCROSS, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Suniva, Inc. today announced the completion of its first commissioning of a large commercial PV system in Mexico. Suniva, a metro-Atlanta based solar cell and module manufacturer, has recently expanded its design and commissioning services to meet the demand of our growing customer base.
The 500kW system was designed, installed and commissioned on-site in Queretaro, Mexico under the supervision of Suniva in partnership with Radiance Solar and Grupo Metal Intra (GMI). The PV system, Powered by Suniva™, uses 1632 Suniva OPT300 high-powered modules and SMA’s Sunny Central inverter. The power produced by the array will flow into the Mexican grid to power a substantial amount of the factory operations at a GMI manufacturing facility. The system started energy production on Friday, July 19th.

Suniva recently hired nearly 100 employees in both supervisory and line positions to meet its growing manufacturing and assembly requirements at its Norcross, GA headquarters.
