LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UTi Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: UTIW), a global supply chain services and solutions company, announced that Ditlev Blicher has assumed the leadership role of president, Asia-Pacific, effective July 8th. Blicher succeeds Brian Dangerfield, APAC president since 2010, who is leaving the company for personal reasons.

He has a unique combination of on-the-ground experience in Europe, Asia and the Americas, and has depth in sales as well as forwarding operations. Most recently, Blicher was Executive Vice President, Group Operations for CEVA Logistics, overseeing over 1000 facilities worldwide. He was responsible for implementing the company’s global freight forwarding transformation to standardized processes and systems.
Prior to this role, Blicher spent almost 10 years in Shanghai as Executive Vice President North Asia, overseeing China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan, as well as several joint ventures. During his tenure he grew the region significantly, taking the company to market leadership positions in Air, Ocean, as well as Logistics and Distribution within China.
Blicher has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood University in the USA. He studied at the Copenhagen School of Business, and has completed executive studies at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. He will be domiciled in Shanghai, China reporting directly to Feitzinger.
