ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wynright Corporation, the nation’s leading independent, U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems, today announced the appointment of supply chain veteran Gordon Hellberg to the newly created position of Executive Vice President, Sales. Hellberg is charged with applying his more than 30 years’ experience in developing and guiding top-flight sales organizations within the materials handling industry to helping Wynright grow its market presence through its direct and indirect sales channels.

Hellberg brings a formidable resume to his new position. Prior to joining Wynright he was the Vice President of Sales at SSI Schaefer, where he established a North American Sales Team for the Germany-based parent company. In addition to sales management duties he also facilitated the development of a divisional plan and helped change the culture of a European based sales division to becoming a fully independent, aggressive organization of its own.
Previously he rose rapidly through the ranks at Ermanco, Inc., beginning as a System Sales Engineering Manager and eventually becoming a Vice President responsible for direct and distribution sales. He was also instrumental in the successful transition of Ermanco from Paragon Technologies to becoming a part of TGW Systems. His career began as a Systems Engineer, where he gained a strong foundation in project engineering and design.

Hellberg holds a Bachelors of Science in engineering from Western Michigan University, and served in the past on the Board of Directors for MHEDA (the Materials Handling Equipment Distributors Association).
