The award recognizes outstanding high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. The finalists and winners were selected by an independent panel of judges and honored at a gala event at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue on June 7, 2013.

Collectively, these winners grew their company’s employment by 42% and their revenues by 40% between 2010 and 2012. Now in its 27th year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year Program has expanded globally to recognize company builders in over 140 cities and in more than 50 countries throughout the world.
Also honored during the evening was Mike Garvey, co-founder and retired Chairman of Saltchuk Resources, Inc. based in Seattle, Washington, who received the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award for the Pacific Northwest, recognizing his entrepreneurial excellence, innovative leadership and contributions to the community. With this award, Garvey joins the ranks of past Master Entrepreneur Of The Year winners around the US such as Irwin Jacobs of QUALCOMM, Edward Whitacre of AT&T Inc. and M. Arthur Gensler of Gensler.
These regional award winners now go on to compete at the national level. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the National Entrepreneur Of The Year Overall Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 16, 2013.
