Nintex Releases Mobile Apps to Take Processes On-the-Go

Apps are ready to download from Windows Store and Apple App Store

BELLEVUE, Wash.--()--Nintex (www.nintex.com), the world’s leading SharePoint workflow company, today announced the availability of Nintex Mobile apps for Windows 8 and iOS. With over 4,000 customers in 90 countries serviced by a global network of high quality partners and service providers, Nintex delivers innovative software and cloud services that empower organizations to automate business processes. The Nintex Mobile apps allow workers to take their processes on-the-go, quickly, easily, and securely, without the need for code.

The apps make the most of Windows 8 and iOS features, allowing users to extend their workflows and forms to popular mobile devices. The Nintex Mobile apps continue Nintex’s mobility strategy and build upon the company’s vision of extending business process automation to more people, places and devices.

The Nintex Mobile apps ensure ease of access for workers on-the-go wanting to create and respond to items such as leave requests and expense approvals. They also enable mobile workers to collect data in the field using multiple media options. The new mobile apps support touch input, location data and camera photos as well as digital audio and video.

“Nintex made workflow and forms quick and easy, helping thousands of customers to improve their processes, without having to write a single line of code,” said Ryan Duguid, Nintex vice president of product management. “With the release of the Nintex Mobile apps, we’re optimizing the Nintex Forms experience on mobile devices, extending workflows beyond the office walls, and giving users access to workflow anywhere, anytime.”

The Nintex Mobile apps deliver the following features and benefits:

  • Streamlined view. The apps provide users with one place to view all of their workflow tasks. This allows them to quickly approve, reject or redirect tasks. Additionally, users have overall insight into the workflow to respond appropriately to tasks.
  • Ready-access to business forms. Users have ready-access to all of their forms, allowing them to submit data and kick off processes anytime, anywhere. This allows for quick response times and greater flexibility for workers in the field.

  • Offline support. The apps provide full support for working offline. Users can continue to get their job done, even without connectivity.

  • Synchronization with Nintex Live. The Nintex Mobile apps can synchronize data through Nintex Live, providing secure access to SharePoint without having to make any network configuration changes.

"Making business processes visible and actionable on mobile devices is critical to delivering great business value in the modern enterprise. With the introduction of the Nintex Mobile apps, instead of building costly custom mobile apps for each mobile platform we're able to focus that investment and time on solving more high value business problems for our customers," said Chris Johnson, general manager at Provoke Solutions, a Nintex Partner.

Nintex is developing apps for the Android platform, which will be released later this year. More information about the Nintex Mobile apps can be found at www.nintex.com.
